COPD Empathy Machine

It all began with a road trip and a stop for tacos. I was traveling up the east coast and stumbled upon an old cigarette machine that had been converted to dispense small cigarette pack sized paintings. It gave me the idea to recreate this experience for COPD patients who had long associated cigarettes with shame. Transforming the very thing that brought them so much pain, into a machine full of hope. This so-called empathy machine was filled with original art that offered people, suffering from COPD, hope and encouragement. The result was a truly unforgettable experience.
